About Angela
I bought my first camera from the Bon Marche in Gloucester, a veritable Aladdin's Cave of everything anyone might ever need!
I was just 11 years old and this little cartridge film camera cost the princely sum of £3. Little did I realise that this was the first step in my journey towards becoming a professional photographer.
That was a long time ago and my digital fleet of professional equipment is a far cry from that first little camera which, incidentally, I still have!
Throughout my career I've turned to photography to capture those special moments and tell amazing stories of people I've met and places I've visited and, without a doubt, photographing people has become a passion. Each person different and every day different again.
The delightful dynamics of successfully photographing people, whether at work, play or an awe-inspiring special occasion, needs that extra something from me and experience tells me that it's my relaxed, friendly approach that helps those in front of the lens to be confident, relax and enjoy the shoot.
As most photographers start out, my pro life behind the camera began with family and friends, then a change of day job introduced photography for the media and business community. Then the first wedding arrived and with that came family photography shoots and portrait sittings and the rest, as they say, is history.
After decades in the industry, one of my greatest strengths is attention to detail. Photography is a very personal thing and my 'getting to know you approach' will help you to take onboard what can be done in the available timeframe and budget. In doing so I capture great imagery whilst making the most out of our time together.
